Welcome to my professional webpage. I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Cardiff University, with previous roles as a Temporary Research Fellow and Ph.D. student at "Sapienza" University of Rome. My background includes a Physics and Astrophysics degree from the University of Florence and an honours degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics from "Sapienza" University of Rome. My research focuses on exoplanet characterization through advanced numerical methods, encompassing atmospheric retrievals, instrument simulations, calibration, and data detrending.
In my exoplanetary science research, I focus on the future of planetary population studies and comparative planetology. Essential tools such as ExoRad and ExoSim facilitate our understanding of instruments and, combined with data analysis tools, ensure precise data interpretation for accurate comparative studies. These efforts are crucial for advancing exoplanet science, establishing a new paradigm in exploring and understanding distant planetary systems.
